Weekly Photo Project 2013: Week 4

I'm on week 4 of my weekly photo project on Google+ . I haven't been out photographing very much lately, mostly due to the cold weather but I at least get in 1 photo (shoot)  a week for the project. This week the theme was Up. I chose to photograph the falling snow.
I haven't shared all the photos, last week was  rule of thirds, which I had to look up. I learned something. That is one thing I like about this challenge, I am learning new techniques and ways to use my camera.  Now I just need the time and decent weather to get out more!

Winter Sunrise on Lake Wissota

To me the different seasons have different sunrises and sunsets. Either the colors or the position of the sun  is different.  Living by the lake I definitely notice the different position  of the sunrise.  Yesterday the sunrise was gorgeous. Since I haven't been able to go out and shoot lately I HAD to get some time in. All I had was 10 minutes before my husband left for work. It was better than no time at all, but I am definitively craving some more photography time.

My part-time, weekends only job is getting in the way of my photography. I hate it. I usually only take photos on the weekend since going out with a 1 1/2 year old to do photography isn't very easy. I may have to figure something out.

This place is on 410th street in Menomonie, Wisconsin. We went to it this summer and it was pretty impressive, but I wasn't happy with the shots I took so I never posted them. In the winter may be more impressive to me. It was amazing to see the colors in the ice. It isn't a waterfall, it just looks like one in the winter because of the run off from the hill. I'm interested to see what it looks like in the Spring.

  I took a ton of pictures so I had a really hard time narrowing down which ones to put up so I'm going to do 2 entries for it. 

Weekly Photo Challenge 2013

I have decided to enter the Weekly Photo Challenge on Google+. I'm still new to google+ so I have some things to learn. There is a lot of photographers on there so I figured it might be a good way to "meet" some people and get my photos out there.
