My favorite color

I love all shades of teal/aqua/turquoise, whatever the name is. I'm not a big fan of loud, bright colors so this color family is perfect for me. It can be bright, or subtle. Besides, I love the ocean and water and this reminds me of it.
This is one of my favorite necklaces, I always get compliments while wearing it.

Sunrise on the Atlantic

I am so tired of this weather, as I am sure everyone else is!  I'm tired of looking and taking Winter scene photos. So, I dug into some old photos that I took before  I started this blog. These pictures were taken with the cool-pix camera that I lost in the snow.  I will be SO happy once it is Spring and Summer. So many more things I can take pictures of, plus that means more road-trips!
These photos are from 2009 on the Atlantic Ocean, at Cape Henlopen, DE. Hubby and I first went there on our 1st Wedding Anniversary. I decided to look into a place we could camp by the Ocean and I found this place. I am so glad we ended up there because we went back a handful of times while living in Maryland. It was one of our favorite spots to go.
I do miss going to the ocean.

New look, Ms. Indecisive.

So, after having the same look on my blog for over a year I decided to give it a new look. For anyone that knows me well you know that it wasn't an easy endeavor. I am SO indecisive. What background do I choose? What font do  I choose? Something that is "me", preferably, so anything huge and loud is out. And then there is the name of the font, Sunshiny was out, I am not "sunshiny".  I decided on my own photo as the background and carefully chose the font colors/types.
I'd like your feedback if anything is hard to read because of the font type or color. I hate reading blogs that I can't even actually read because the font color is too close to the background color.

Birds

I snapped these shots a couple weeks ago, when I thought Spring arrived and so did all the birds. One day there were a ton of them in our backyard searching for food so I grabbed my camera and snapped  a few shots. So there is a window between me & the birds in the photos. I'm not sure what kind of birds they are, I only know a handful of birds so if anyone can tell me that'd be great!
The last two shots I actually took in the Fall at my in-laws house, I just had been waiting for  a time to use them.

Devil's Punchbowl Spring-time

Last weekend it was Spring time here in Mid-Wisconsin, actually just yesterday and then we woke up to 4 inches of snow on the ground with more on the way. I don't remember how these Midwest winters are, I can say I didn't miss this! I WANT SPRING!
Anyway, here is Devil's Punchbowl in Menomonie in April (Spring). Although the site was pretty I'd have to say I was more awed with how it looks during the Winter . I will probably re shoot it again in the summer. I took some of it last summer but wasn't happy enough with the shots.

Bourbon

On Easter weekend my family went to visit my sister and her family in Indiana. We took a day trip to Kentucky to check out Bourbon County. Although, only my Brother-in-Law enjoys Bourbon the day was very fun. We went on the Distillery Tour at the  4 Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, KY, and sampled some Bourbon. I sort of sampled it, it was way too strong. We also stopped by the Wild Turkey Distillery but we only had a sample there, I could tolerate their American Honey one.
I always feel like I am annoying the company I am in if I take tons of pictures so I didn't get as many during the weekend as I could have.  It's probably just another thing I need to get over. :-P

a couple weeks ago we ventured over to Govin's Meats & Berries in Menomonie, WI  to check out the baby animals. My son loved it! He got to hold a baby lamb & a chick. I held one of the piglets, they were very warm and cute.
