Year 2

Birthday number 2 photo shoot.
I took these shots over the course of about 2 weeks, no way I was getting tons of different photo shoots in in  1 day. I had more ideas in mind but I didn't get around to doing them (again), but I did get more shoots in this year than last.

Does anything else make a woman feel so beautiful and special as her wedding dress?  But what to DO with the dress after the fact? Do I keep it? If I ever have a daughter I doubt she will want to wear it.  I'm thinking of getting rid of it.  But, I tried it on a few months ago and it made me feel good so now I'm not so sure.
I never did get it dry-cleaned or preserved after the wedding like I should have, so it's dirty.
There are cheese stains down the front from when we ate chips and dip around 11 p.m. And the bottom is totally black from dragging on the floor while dancing.
It shows just how much fun we had that night. I took some shots of it just in case I do end of getting rid of it.

Finally it is Spring-time in the Midwest! We still do not have leaves on the trees though, they're just starting. Spring is my favorite season, I love when the weather starts getting nice, everything comes back to life, and flowers start to bloom. It is so bright and pretty.

We have tons of birds in our backyard along with some other little critters. The chipmunk actually lives IN the house somewhere in the roof or something...

Spring Sunset Take 1

The other night I went out to shoot the sunset. Usually doing photography calms me down but it was a night of missed opportunities so it was frustrating   I find that photography is a lot about the timing and that night I was a few minutes too late for the nice sunset pictures. I also missed the train on the tracks BY the beach, and just missed some birds coming in for a landing. I got a few nice shots for the night but nothing that I'm blown away by though. The sunset wasn't one of the prettier ones so I will be going out for another Spring sunset shoot, maybe once the ice melts off the lake.

These 2 pictures remind me of my cousins' Melissa & Molly. I always think of them when I see certain bird artwork.
