It seems so long ago now that we took our road-trip to Effigy Mounds since the weather turned terrible again! Anyway, here are some shots from the drive. It was hard to be creative with pictures of the actual mounds. We only hiked up to the 1st set of mounds since I'm so pregnant and our son wanted to turn around, it was uphill for almost 1 mile. I'd love to explore the place more at some point. I love the drive to this part of the state since it is along the Mississippi River, which makes it feel like you're in a coastal town.
