Thanksgiving weekend update

Well, I did not have as many models as I had hoped for my photo shoot ideas. I have 2 in mind, that I need PEOPLE for!
I could take pictures all day long. I think about nothing & it's so relaxing. Even though I didn't get my person photos I did do a TON of pictures of things/places, I took over 500 pictures last week. I also thought of many, many more shoots to do in the Keweenaw. There are so many things in the U.P. that are beautiful and old. Can' t wait till my next trip up!

Pay Phones

In the past 2-3 weeks I've seen more pay phones than I have in the last 10 years. I didn't even know they still existed now that almost everyone has cellphones! And I saw more last weekend, 3 in one town actually. No clue if they actually work though.

Thanksgiving weekend-partcipants needed.

I am excited to being heading to the U.P. this evening. I have a few photo shoots in mind that I really hope turn out. What better place to take some great photos than the Upper Peninsula!
I will need some volunteers that I will physically see (you know who you may be) that wouldn't mind being on my blog, so comment if you want to participate.

Also, keep an eye out for some deals on my etsy shop this weekend. I'm thinking on Saturday for small business Saturday since I'm not all for Black Friday and Monday for Cyber monday. :)

Tree Mushrooms

I think of my mom when I see mushrooms on trees. Her and my dad would always pull off the huge ones for her to paint a picture on. They gathered tons of mushroom but I only remember her painting on 1 of them, I thought it was so cool.

My son loves the outdoors. Everytime I looked at him, he'd give me a huge smile. He rode in the carrier most of the way but we let him walk the last part of the trail.

My new adventure...

After reading a slightly motivating webpage , I have decided to take the plunge. I started an etsy shop to sell some of my photos. Of course,  people that follow my blog may not even be interested in purchasing any photos. Or perhaps I'll find a following on Etsy or on the web.
 For various reasons I am SO nervous to even do this post, me doubting myself (like always).
Go to Etsy.com & type discoveryofd  into the search to find my shop. I only have a few items up right now. And if you are interested in buying any of the photos I have taken thus far, let me know. I can do 8x10 and under as the sizes.
SO, before this knot in my stomach has a chance to speak up and persuade me to not even post this, I will be done.

No, not the movie. Sickeningly, when I typed Twilight into google the first whole page was about the movie!  The moon looked SO cool this night but I didn't capture it well.

Hmmm, gotta figure out how.
